Integration and Test Engineer

Job Summary:

The Integration & Test Engineer plans and performs Integration & Test (I&T) assignments involving definition of integration plans and sequences relative to complex software and hardware subsystems and resolves identified conflicting issues. Participates in a complex I&T program which includes establishing methods and techniques, planning tests, develop test requirements, writing I&T procedures and reports, and conducting tests utilizing comprehensive knowledge of these complex subsystems. Participates in I&T readiness reviews, participates in design reviews, and conducts audits of I&T programs and facilities. Utilizes a broad knowledge of precedents in I&T engineering and applies understanding of principles of related engineering and software technology to ensure test validity and integrity. Conducts tests, which include collaborating with others in establishing language, database, and computer simulation requirements and configuration management techniques.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
• Develop and execute integration plans and sequences
• Identify technical issues during integration
• Collaborate with fellow engineers to determine root cause and drive toward closure
Basic Qualifications:
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Integration/Test engineering experience on a government software development contract
• Experience preparing and executing Integration/Test procedures
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems
• Experience with script development (Python, Perl, CECIL)
• Experience utilizing discrepancy report systems
• Experience with systems engineering principles and activities
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
• Experience with ground station satellite domains (command and telemetry, flight dynamics or mission planning)
• Test Automation (Eggplant, Cucumber, Gherkin)
• Experience with Java or C++
