The Integration Engineer plans and performs assignments involving definition of plans and procedures relative to complex software and hardware subsystems and resolves identified conflicting issues. Participates in a complex program which includes establishing methods and techniques, planning and writing integration procedures/sequences and reports, and conducting tests utilizing comprehensive knowledge of these complex subsystems. Utilizes a broad knowledge of precedents in integration engineering and applies understanding of principles of related engineering and software technology to ensure test validity and integrity. Conducts tests, which include collaborating with others in establishing language, database, and computer simulation requirements and configuration management techniques.
This role includes but is not limited to:
• Develop and execute integration plans and sequences
• Identify technical issues during integration
• Collaborate with fellow engineers to determine root cause and drive toward closure
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis, which includes preparing and presenting technical briefs
• Work in an Agile program environment
• Work in a classified lab on site in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Must Have:
• Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant systems integration and test experience or 5 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in (STEM)
• Experience working on Global Positioning System (GPS)
• Hands-on integration experience
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems
• Experience with systems engineering principles and activities
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred:
• Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
• Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations)
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• Experience with Java, C++, or Python
• Experience with Linux operating system
