We’re looking for a Principal System Safety Engineer - P4 who enjoys working on complex, high-impact systems and collaborating across engineering teams.
This role supports advanced defense and aerospace systems, focusing on mission-critical technologies used in real-world operational environments.
In this role, you’ll contribute across the full system lifecycle—from concept and design through integration, testing, and production support.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop system solutions
- Support system integration, testing, and validation activities
- Work with models, simulations, prototypes, and hardware/software systems
- Identify risks and support technical decision-making
- Help improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
- Required Skill Sets: - Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant Systems Engineering or Safety Engineering experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position. - Experience with: System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Safety Engineering. Desired Skill Sets: - Experience in command and control systems and/or weapon combat systems - Experience with DoD System Safety Programs - Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Development - Ability to solve complex problems by leveraging available resources and research material - Strong written, verbal and presentation skills - Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to manage a safety program and provide direction to supporting safety personnel - Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
