We’re looking for a Database Engineer - ENG06 - Cleared Off-Site who enjoys working on complex, high-impact systems and collaborating across engineering teams.
This role supports advanced defense and aerospace systems, focusing on mission-critical technologies used in real-world operational environments.
In this role, you’ll contribute across the full system lifecycle—from concept and design through integration, testing, and production support.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop system solutions
- Support system integration, testing, and validation activities
- Work with models, simulations, prototypes, and hardware/software systems
- Identify risks and support technical decision-making
- Help improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Database administration of servers in cluster and container environments running a variety of applications to include Ubuntu Linux. - Work will include refinement of database architecture design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and urgent troubleshooting efforts. - Perform administrative and maintenance tasks on PostGRES databases. - Perform planning, coordination, and execution of database installations and upgrades and patches. - Respond to all database related work requests, including working with system maintainers, system engineering analysis, and integration efforts. - Maintain and update design and database schema documentation. The work environment fluctuates between routine and urgent, depending on ongoing tasks, priorities, and performance of assigned systems.
